GP Registrars

The practice has been a training practice for GP registrars since 2003, successfully passing several quality assessments to achieve this. GP Registrars are qualified doctors fully registered with the GMC who are completing their specialist training before becoming fully qualified GPs. We also provide training for medical students, nurse practitioners, a paramedic practitioner, and physicians associate. All colleagues in training are closely supervised by an experienced GP who is available to them at all times. Occasionally, trainees need to be assessed through video and you may be asked if you would kindly participate.

Reception

The reception team are here to help you. They can advise you when the next available appointment is, whether you should see a doctor or a practice nurse, or whether there is an alternative to you attending the surgery eg advice from your local Pharmacist. Please don't hesitate to ask for help. In order that we can help you it may be necessary for us to ask for more information but please do remember that all our staff are bound by terms of the practice's Staff Code of Conduct in respect of confidentiality.

Community Midwives

Our midwives are attached to the practice from the UHNM team at Royal Stoke Hospital. Patients now self-refer - ideally as soon as you find out you are pregnant. To self-refer for UHNM midwife antenatal care / booking, please visit www.mypregnancynotes.com and fill in the on registration/booking questionnaire. Once this has been completed the midwife will contact to arrange a booking appointment.

Community Nurses

Tel: 01782 831110 District nurses attached to the practice work closely with the doctors providing home nursing care. They have access to equipment to make nursing at home easier for patient and carer.
